COVID-19 FAQS

Cancellation/Credit Note/Refund Policy: FAQ

1. Existing Students (currently in UK)

The school is closing temporarily until June, are tuition fees refundable?

We were offering current students online tuition to continue their studies. After the school closes, existing students will be transferred to other schools that have voluntarily accepted to offer them a course.

If a student chooses not to be transferred, the school will issue a credit for the full value of the tuition missed. Students have the option of using this to extend their stay after the school re-opens OR for a future booking for six months

The school is closed and am I currently staying in accommodation. What options do I have? What if I go home? Can you refund my accommodation fees?

You are welcome to stay in the school’s residential accommodation while the school is closed. If you choose to leave the accommodation you must inform the school of the date of your departure and from that date the school will issue you a credit for the value of the accommodation remaining, full weeks only. Students have the option of using this credit for a future booking for 6 months from departure date. Note that your accommodation choice may be subject to availability.

The credit will be in the name of the student who cancelled and is transferable.

2. Pending Arrivals for courses commencing from the 6th of April 2020

Students arriving from the 6th of April until June have been contacted to cancel and postpone the course.

If anyone wants to change their travel arrangements, we will accept postponements without penalty for 12 months.

Students due to arrive for course before 20 April commencement Monday 30th March/Monday 6th April/Tuesday 14th April (Easter) and their fees are paid in full. What do you advise? If they cancel will you provide a refund?

The current information from the UK Government is that schools are closed indefinitely.

The school proposes 2 options:

  1. Postponing course commencement date to later than April 29th. The school can re-issue all relevant documentation with no change fee.
  2. Issue you a credit for the full value of the booking (course and accommodation) with an expiry date 12 months after the initial course start date.

If this does not suit, students can cancel their course.

3. New bookings for remainder of 2020/2021

For those worried about booking in case they need to cancel. What is your cancellation policy? Will you provide a refund?

If any student is unable, or not wanting, to travel due to a travel restriction or flight cancellation, or they are just concerned, due to COVID-19 after the 29th of June, Bethnal Student Academy will waive any cancellation fees and will offer full credit towards a course in the future to be used within twelve months from the day the course was due to commence.
